We, at Alcove9, (an advanced, on-premise search engine provider) are celebrating a lot of “firsts”…. A new company. New offices. Newly updated products. New clients. New partners. And… a new blog!

So, the first thing to do is say “hello and welcome” and to introduce myself. My name is Janie Farner and I am the Director of Marketing for Alcove9. While mine certainly won’t be the only voice on this blog, it is, however my pet project, so you’ll be seeing a lot of me!

The vision for this blog is to provide You – our friends and customers – with a go-to site about Business Efficiency Trends. It will include an open-forum of discussions about timely topics and trends that can help YOU and your business – large or small – to become more efficient and therefore more responsive, effective and profitable.

Obviously, as a company who provides on-premise, advanced search solutions we are eager to help you find what you need, when you need it, through our great search products and support services, but we also believe that “search” doesn’t occur in a vacuum and that the more we can help you to make your entire organization more efficient, the more we can all contribute to a business community that strives for the highest standards of performance.

There is not one facet of ANY organization that doesn’t have [literally] tons of information piling up in their virtual filing cabinets, but finding it again, can often be a daunting challenge. So, we’ll discuss the front-end and the back-end of efficient internal processes, procedures, and systems that will lead to better, more efficient operations overall (including, finding it all again!).

So, in light of this ambitious and sometimes broad set of business topics, we would also like to ask for your input. What would YOU like to talk about? What would be of interest to you, your staff or your co-workers? We invite you to tell us what will pique your curiosity, engage your interest or get your blood boiling! We want to discuss what you want to discuss.

Thanks for joining us on our first blog and we genuinely look forward to chatting with you throughout 2012 and beyond.

Sincerely,

Janie Farner, Director of Marketing, Alcove9 llc.

An advanced, on-premise search engine provider
