Featuring Keynote Speaker, Sam Abu-Hamdan

Sam is the President and CEO of Alcove9. Prior to founding Alcove9, Sam ran the Aerospace and Defense business unit at Tata Technologies in North America. During his time at Tata, Sam occupied many roles, beginning as a senior consultant in the design and analysis field, and then leading a team of PLM solution architects.

Sam received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993 in the field of error detection and recovery in automated manufacturing assembly cells. At that time, he helped create a business in Detroit, Michigan, designing and manufacturing mass air flow sensors for aftermarket, high performance vehicles. He was also significantly involved in designing automotive products, including electromechanical sensors for ABS brake modules, trailer brakes, and powertrain components.
